Its Advanced Materials segment makes glass cloth, beads, and fibers while the Polymers unit makes resins, films, and non-woven fabrics; each segment includes six subsidiaries. The Fiber & Textiles segment produces and distributes cotton, textiles, threads, and fabric through a dozen operating companies. Unitika also has holdings in another dozen companies operating in healthcare, real estate, logistics, and environmental services. The company, which was formed in 1889, generates most of its sales from Polymers. Its primary market is Asia, but Unitika also operates in Europe and the Americas.
