URM Stores is a leading wholesale food distribution cooperative serving more than 160 grocery stores in the Northwest. Its member-owner stores operate under a variety of banners, including Family Foods, Harvest Foods, Super 1 Foods, Trading Co. Stores, and Yoke's Fresh Market. It also owns the Rosauers Supermarkets chain. In addition to grocery stores, URM supplies 1,500-plus restaurants, hotels, and convenience stores; it also offers such services as merchandising, store development consulting, and technology purchasing. The cooperative was founded in 1921 as United Retail Merchants. The business is privately owned by its members.
