Theolia's answer to renewable energy, my friend, is blowin' in the wind. The company develops wind farms in Europe (France, Italy, Germany, and Spain), and Latin America, as well as in emerging markets such as India and Morocco, for generating electricity. Theolia has an installed capacity of 350 MW and operates a further 311 MW for third parties. The company has another 2,800 MW of wind power generation under construction or in development. In 2011, the company formed a $425 million joint venture with IWB Industrielle Werke Basel to create Theolia Utilities Investment Company, an entity dedicated to investing in wind projects in Central Europe.
