A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, and The Ritedose Corporation (formerly Holopack International) makes the medicine's measure easy. The maker of drug delivery systems aims for quick, portable, and sterile delivery of medications and other products. Its SL Lock device replaces glass vials sealed with stoppers, used by physicians to fill syringes. Made of plastic, it has a twist off top and is equipped with an air tube to prevent the container from collapsing, allowing for more rapid withdrawal. Other products include RiteDose, a pre-filled container for liquid medications. Each disposable container holds a single dose. The company's name was changed when it was acquired by Olympus Partners in 2009.
