Northeast utility Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) keeps the folks in the Constitution State connected. CL&P provides electric utility services to more than 1.2 million customers in nearly 150 Connecticut communities. The electric utility, a subsidiary of Northeast Utilities (NU), has 225 substations, more than 288,400 transformers and owns and operates regulated transmission and distribution assets in its 4,400-sq.-mile service territory. It has more than 22,800 miles of distribution lines and more than 1,770 miles of transmission lines. CL&P's transmission assets are monitored by ISO New England.
