Energy can be so sweet for Séchilienne-Sidec. That's because the company produces some of it from the residue of sugar cane. Séchilienne-Sidec has interests in coal- and bagasse- (and organic biomass residue left over from the processing of sugar cane) fueled energy companies in Mauritius, and Réunion, and in Guadeloupe (a total of nine thermal power stations). The green energy power company also develops and operates solar-powered plants in France, Spain, and Italy, and is developing wind farms in France. Séchilienne-Sidec is controlled by Financière Helios.
