Its portfolio of more than a dozen companies includes logistics software firm Aldata, market research firm SymphonyIRI Group, custom software developer Symphony Services, and engineering software firm MSC.Software Corporation. STG was founded in 2002 by chairman and CEO Romesh Wadhwani, the man responsible for the landmark $9 billion Aspect Development deal, which was the largest merger in software history. Altogether, STG has more than $1 billion in assets under management.
