Space Needle LLC Company Profile

Space Needle Corporation looms large over Seattle. The company owns the Emerald City's Space Needle, the 605-foot historical landmark that is recognized as the symbol of the city. Built in 1962 as part of the Seattle World's Fair, the Space Needle features an observation deck, the SkyCity revolving restaurant, meeting and banquet facilities, and the SpaceBase retail shop. Needle architect John Graham, Bagley Wright, Howard Wright, Ned Skinner, and Norton Clapp formed the Pentagram Corporation to build the needle. They all eventually sold their shares to Howard Wright (of the Howard S. Wright Construction Company), whose still family owns it.
