Scripps Health houses many a script-writing physician in its hospitals. The not-for-profit health system serves the San Diego area through four acute-care hospitals on five campuses. Altogether the health system is home to 1,400 inpatient beds and a network of outpatient clinics. The system also offers home health care and operates community outreach programs. Its hospitals, along with more than 20 outpatient Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center locations, employ more than 2,600 affiliated general practice and specialty physicians.
