These interests have been, or soon will be transformed as the iconic maker and marketer of brand name foods sets a new course. Sara Lee International oversees coffee (Douwe Egberts and Senseo), tea, and some bakery sales in Europe, Australia, Asia, and Brazil. A North American Retail arm sells packaged meat (Ball Park, Jimmy Dean) and frozen baked items, including its namesake cheesecake. Its North American Foodservice supplies meat and baked goods to foodservice operators. To spur earnings growth, in 2012 Sara Lee sold the coffee and tea business of its North American Foodservice unit to The J. M. Smucker Company for about $400 million.
