OAO TNK-BP Holding Company Profile

TNK-BP knows the ABCs of the o-i-l and g-a-s industry. The company is one of Russia's largest oil and gas enterprises. TNK-BP has proved reserves of 8.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent and operates four refineries in Russia  and one in Ukraine that have a combined capacity of more than 1.4 million barrels per day. It also operates 1,400 gas stations in the two countries. TNK-BP has a strategic alliance with Gazprom to invest jointly in major energy projects. In a major move, in 2013 Russian oil giant Rosneft bought BP's 50% stake in TNK-BP in a $55 billion deal to gain 100% control of the company.
