NuStar GP Holdings owns a 2% general-partner interest and a 17% limited-partner interest in NuStar Energy, which operates terminals and petroleum-liquids pipeline systems, primarily in the US. NuStar Energy has 7,480 miles of refined product and ammonia pipelines, 940 miles of crude oil pipelines, 96 refined product terminal facilities, a crude oil storage facility, and two asphalt refineries. It also has terminals in Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, Turkey, and the UK. Valero GP Holdings was controlled by Valero Energy. Following Valero GP Holdings' 2006 IPO, Valero Energy sold its interest in both Valero L.P. and Valero GP Holdings. In 2007 Valero GP Holdings changed its name to NuStar GP Holdings, LLC.
