American fashion designer Michael Kors has set up shop in Hong Kong. The holding company (and parent of Michael Kors USA) oversees the Michael Kors brand, which offers women's and men's apparel, footwear, and accessories (handbags, small leather goods, eyewear, jewelry, and watches). The Michael Kors collection offers two lines: its signature red carpet line, called Michael Kors, and a less-pricey sportswear line, MICHAEL Michael Kors. Its products are sold at department stores in North America and Europe; the company also runs about 170 retail stores (including about 60 outlet stores) in North America and 35 stores across Europe and in Japan. The company's IPO in late 2011 exceeded expectations.
