The company, controlled and run by the Cheung family, focuses on PCBs and the materials that make them. It operates through three roughly equal segments: PCBs, glass and paper laminates, and chemicals (including hydrogen peroxide used to bleach paper and clean semiconductors). Vertically integrated, Kingboard Chemical produces the glass fiber, copper foil, and formalin used in its laminates, which it uses to make PCBs. The group operates more than 60 manufacturing facilities in China and Thailand.
