Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) keeps energy on the move throughout the North America. The company holds stakes in more than 37,000 miles of natural gas and petroleum product pipelines and owns 180 bulk terminals and rail transloading facilities with 200 millions barrels of storage capacity that handle 100 million tons of coal, petroleum coke, and bulk products annually. KMP transports refined petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel) through 8,400 miles of pipelines and stores the products in 60 terminals in the US. Through its CO₂ subsidiary, KMP transports carbon dioxide. Kinder Morgan owns about 13% of KMP, and through its Kinder Morgan Management unit, acts as general partner.
