KBR builds big projects for the US government. But the engineering and construction services company also lends its capabilities to the hydrocarbon, energy, minerals, civil infrastructure, and power and industrial markets. The company is widely known for its service to the government and infrastructure sector (the US government accounts for about 25% of revenue), however, that figure is slowly declining as the military pulls its presence in the Middle East. KBR is increasingly focused on projects in the oil and gas industry. It has designed many of world's liquefied natural gas production facilities and develops new technologies such as coal gasification.
