Jersey City Medical Center Company Profile

With roots extending back to 1882, Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) may have history, but it's not stuck in the past. The 350-bed, acute-care hospital serves residents of New Jersey's Hudson County area. Operated by Liberty Healthcare, the hospital includes a trauma center, a perinatal center, and a heart institute. JCMC also offers pediatric, women's health, rehabilitation, and ambulatory care, and it is a teaching affiliate for the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. JCMC's modern incarnation came about in the Great Depression when it was constructed by a political ally of Franklin Roosevelt.
