Jersey City Medical Center Company Profile

With roots extending back to 1882, Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) may have history, but it's not stuck in the past. The acute-care hospital serves residents of New Jersey's Hudson county area. Operated by Liberty HealthCare System, the hospital includes a trauma center, a perinatal center, and a heart institute. It is also a teaching affiliate for the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. JCMC's care centers include trauma and cardiac care, and physical and occupational therapy and speech and behavioral care to children and the elderly. JCMC's modern incarnation came about in the Great Depression when it was constructed by a political ally of Franklin Roosevelt.
