Jardine Cycle & Carriage is a driving force in Singapore. The company, known as JC&C and formerly named Cycle & Carriage, distributes and retails primarily Kia, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Ford, Mazda, and Mercedes-Benz cars and commercial vehicles in the Pacific Rim. It owns more than 50% of Astra International, about 38% of Indonesian vehicle retailer Tunas Ridean, and more than 59% of Cycle & Carriage Bintang, which retails Mercedes-Benz and distributes and retails Mazda and Peugeot in Malaysia. Through subsidiary MCL Land JC&C also develops and invests in commercial and residential properties located in Singapore and Malaysia. JC&C is part of Jardine Strategic Holdings, which owns more than 68%.
