JACCS gives consumers a way to pay and stores a way to get paid. The company provides credit cards, consumer installment credits at member stores, automobile leasing, and loan guarantees from other financial institutions. JACCS also provides credit checks and bill collection services. Installment financing services are offered through some 300,000 member stores throughout Japan. JACCS was founded in 1954 to offer consumer credit services. In 2008 Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group acquired 20% of the company when it transferred the consumer installment and auto lending operations of Mitsubishi UFJ NICOS to JACCS in exchange for its credit card and mortgage-related business.
