Indorama Ventures takes a panoramic approach to plastics. The company is the world's largest manufacturer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a plastic polymer used to make bottles and packaging for food and beverages, personal care products, and pharmaceuticals. It has more than a dozen plants in 10 countries that produce 1.5 million tons of PET per year. Indorama Ventures also makes about 245,000 tons of polyester fiber per year at 10 plants. Its supply chain is assisted by four plants producing 1.6 million tons of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) per year, a building block used to make PET and polyester fiber. Not content on dominating synthetics, Indorama Ventures also produces 6,000 tons a year of wool yarn.
