The company's main energy assets are in Alberta and Saskatchewan, although it has oil and gas operations worldwide (including in China, Greenland, and Libya). In 2010 it reported net proved reserves of 1.9 billion barrels of oil and bitumen, and 3 trillion cu. ft. of natural gas. The firm has a 82,000-barrels-per-day heavy oil upgrader (Lloydminster) and also operates 555 gas stations in Canada. Hong Kong billionaire Li Ka-shing and his flagship company, Hutchison Whampoa control Husky Energy. Li's son Victor is a co-chair of Husky Energy.
