The subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. manufactures high-grade metal casting components, such as automotive parts (aluminum road wheels, heat-resistant cast exhaust manifolds, and magnetic compass sensors), IT components and materials (antenna switch modules, isolators, and linear motors), and piping and infrastructure products (fire protection piping systems, gas piping, and mass flow controller and metal diaphragm valves), which are used in the automotive, construction, and electronics industries. Hitachi Metals gets more than two-thirds of its sales in Japan. The company is absorbing Hitachi Cable.
