Operating through seven manufacturing plants in China, GITI makes almost 15% of all Chinese-made tires and exports its products to more than 100 countries throughout Asia, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Oceania, and Africa. GITI's 17,000 different products include radial and bias tires of all sizes for trucks, cars, and off-road, industrial, and agricultural vehicles, as well as for motorcycles and aircraft. Established in 1993, the company has grown both organically (adding two globally-scaled manufacturing plants) and through acquisitions. It holds a minority interest in Indonesian tire producer PT Gajah Tunggal. GITI is owned by the Liem family.
