Well-known vintner François Faiveley has his company on the right track. Faiveley S.A. merged with the Faiveley Transport unit in 2009 to create Faiveley Transport, which is involved exclusively in the rail industry. It is one of the world's largest makers of railroad equipment, offering such standard and customized products as air-conditioning systems, doors, brakes, wheels, and passenger-counting systems used in suburban and metro rail systems throughout the world. The company's network includes about 40 sites in over 20 countries. Chairman François Faiveley and family control the company with a stake in excess of 56%. The Faiveleys also own one of the largest vineyards in France's Burgundy region.
