Color me impressed: Empresa Nacional de Electricidad SA (Endesa Chile) is the largest power generator in Chile, as well as a leading power generator in South America. Endesa Chile's operates  power plants in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru have a total capacity of more than 12,900 MW (primarily hydroelectric); the company sells power to utilities and industrial customers. It also has interests in gas transmission operations in Chile and offers engineering and consultancy services. Endesa Chile is 61%-owned by utility holding company Enersis, which itself is majority-owned by Spanish utility Endesa.
