El Oro invests in mineral resources to find its pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow. Through subsidiaries El Oro and Exploration and Investigations and Management, the company primarily invests in mining, exploration, and utility companies. The group owns stakes in firms including Troy Resources, Archipelago Resources, and Exeter, giving it access to projects from all over the world. However, UK investments account for more than half of El Oro's revenues. The group restructured in 2009, completing a reverse acquisition and moving from the UK to the Channel Islands. Former parent El Oro and Exploration became a subsidiary as part of the arrangement. El Oro traces its roots back to the 1880s.
