Its holdings include book and DVD distributor Baker & Taylor, Morton's Restaurant Group, and Caribbean Restaurants, a franchisor of Burger King restaurants in Puerto Rico. Castle Harlan was co-founded in 1987 by Leonard Harlan and chairman John Castle, a former CEO of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.
