Canfor has a can-do attitude about forest products. One of Canada's largest lumber companies, Canfor mainly produces softwood lumber, but also plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), remanufactured lumber products, and specialized wood products at some 30 facilities in Canada and the US. Each year Canfor is capable of turning out 5 billion board feet of lumber, 270 million sq. ft. of plywood, and 1 billion sq. ft. of OSB. It manages woodlands on public lands in British Columbia and Alberta and has annual harvesting rights on about 11 million cubic meters of timberland. The company also owns a slight majority of Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership, which produces pulp and kraft paper.
