The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investment Board) puts retirees' dollars back to work. The board manages more than $140 billion of the Canada Pension Plan, the retirement savings of more than 17 million Canadians. The CPP Investment Board maintains a diverse portfolio of low-risk, long-term investments in public and private companies, fixed-income instruments such as bonds and money-market securities, and inflation-sensitive assets such as real estate and infrastructure. The group also has offices in London and Hong Kong. The CPP Investment Board was created in 1997, more than 30 years after the Canada Pension Plan was established.
