Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas is the flagship institution of the Baylor Health Care System. The medical center (known as Baylor Dallas) serves 5 million Dallas area residents with more than 1,000 inpatient beds and some 1,200 physicians. It offers general medical and surgical services to specialty care in a wide range of fields, including oncology, cardiovascular disease, and neuroscience. The hospital also features a Level I trauma center, neonatal ICU, and organ transplantation center. Founded in 1903, the Baylor Dallas campus includes the Charles A.
