Allens wants everyone to eat their vegetables. Allens produces frozen breaded vegetable products along with southern-style frozen vegetables. All the company's products are manufactured at two plants in Georgia, following the 2012 sale of four frozen vegetable processing plants in New York and Wisconsin to the North American arm of France's Bonduelle S.A. The sale included brands such as Chill Ripe and Garden Classic. Post sale, Arkansas-based Allens is returning to its roots by focusing on southern-style fare. Founded in 1926 as Allens Canning Co., Allens remains a family-owned and -operated business, albeit a much smaller one.
