Aegion owns a legion of companies that aim to prop up aging highways, bridges, and pipes. Its energy- and mining-focused companies --Bayou, Corrpro, CCSI, CRTS, and United Pipeline -- rehab pipelines and provide corrosion protection for pipes, storage tanks, and water treatment facilities. Insituform, the water and wastewater unit, refurbishes water distribution, stormwater, and wastewater pipes in situ, that is, without digging them up. Its commercial and structural reinforcement firm, Fyfe, makes the Tyfo and Fibrwrap brands of support and strengthening systems for masonry, steel, concrete, and wooden structures. Aegion, which has more than 20 global offices, was formed in 2011 as a holding company.
