Coinstar Company Description
Coinstar takes the contents of your penny jar and turns it into real money. The company owns and operates more than 15,400 coin-counting machines in the US, Canada, and the UK and some 300,000 entertainment services (skill-crane, bulk vending, and kiddie ride) machines across the US and Mexico. Coinstar also operates more than 17,500 point-of-sale terminals in the US and the UK. The coin-counting units are located mainly in supermarkets (such as Kroger and SUPERVALU); the entertainment services machines can be found in more than 27,000 retail locations including Wal-Mart and Kmart stores. Coinstar also offers prepaid services cards, money transfers, and gift cards.
