Constructions Industrielles de la Méditerranée (CNIM) believes waste is a terrible thing to waste. CNIM's environmental services division builds waste-to-energy plants that generate electricity by processing waste from homes, hospitals, and sewage plants. CNIM's mechanical engineering segment provides equipment, systems, and technologies to the aerospace, defense, and scientific research industries. It also makes moving walkways, platform screen doors, sliding railway car doors, and lifts. Its energy division, through subsidiaries CNIM Babcock Services and Babcock Wanson, maintains and renovates industrial boilers and household waste processing plants, and installs and renovates boiler houses.
