    L'ISLET, Que. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Gestion Martin Poitras Inc, which owns a 47 per cent stake in Amisco, has offered $1.60 per share for the stock it does not already own. Amisco shares last traded for 75 cents on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The company also said Clarke Inc. has agreed to vote its 15 per cent stake in favour of the deal.

    MONTREAL _ Clarke Inc. is spearheading a management effort to buy and privatize the Madacy Entertainment music and video business. The publicly traded Madacy Entertainment Income Fund, which owns 65 per cent of the business, said it has received a non-binding offer of between 25 cents and 40 cents per unit.
