Overview
Clairol is big on hair care -- covering up the gray and helping to keep non-blondes blond. P&G-Clairol specializes in making and marketing hair-coloring products, hair spray, shampoo, conditioner, and hair-styling items. Some of its brands include Herbal Essences, Nice 'n Easy, Hydrience, Natural Instincts for Men, Loving Care, and Balsam Color. Besides all-over color, Clairol also sells highlighting items. It markets its products in the US, Australia, Canada, and the UK. The company's one of the larger acquisitions that Procter & Gamble has made. Since then, the division has been woven into its beauty segment, which logged more than $26 billion in fiscal 2009.
