Cintra Infraestructuras, a subsidiary of Spain-based engineering and infrastructure management company Ferrovial, operates about two dozen toll roads covering more than 2,800 kilometers, or approximately 1,700 miles, in Canada, Chile, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and the US. Cintra operates the Chicago Skyway and has contracted to construct and operate a Texas toll road (formerly called the Trans-Texas Corridor) which will run from north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to the Mexican border once it is complete. Ferrovial took full ownership of Cintra in December 2009.
