CICSA Company Description
Carso Infraestructura y Construcción (CICSA), or Carso Infrastructure and Construction, builds on a large scale. A spin-off of Grupo Carso, Mexico-based CICSA provides construction services in four major segments: telecommunications (radio bases and fiber optic cable installation), chemicals and petroleum (process facility construction, heat exchangers, petroleum platform construction, tubular products, drilling completion services -- largely through subsidiary Swecomex), infrastructure (roads, bridges, and tunnels -- largely through subsidiary CILSA), and civil construction (office buildings, municipal buildings, hospitals, stadiums). Grupo Carso head Carlos Slim offered 26% of CICSA to the public in 2005.
