CIBC Mellon is a joint venture between Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) and US-based The Bank of New York Mellon. Serving some 1,200 institutional clients, it performs asset servicing functions such as cash management, fund accounting, pension fund administration, benefit payment services, and securities lending through CIBC Mellon Trust and CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services. CIBC Mellon Trust also offers stock transfer, corporate trust, and employee stock purchase plan services. Established in 1996, CIBC Mellon has more than C$850 billion of assets under administration.
