In the property development arena, Chinese Estates develops mid to high-end commercial and residential property; it currently has about 17 million sq. ft. to be developed. Additional services include securities investment, money lending, and brokerage. The company acquired cosmetic firm Power Jade in 2007. Chinese Estates traces its roots to 1978, when predecessor Evergo Holdings began trading in electronics (it diversified into real estate in 1985).
