Overview
A leading container shipping company, China COSCO is the publicly traded flagship of state-owned China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, which is known as COSCO Group. Through subsidiary COSCO Container Lines (COSCON), COSCO China operates a fleet of more than 140 containerships with an overall capacity of about 417,000 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEU). Other subsidiaries, including majority-owned COSCO Pacific, operate container terminals and offer container leasing and logistics services. COSCO Group owns a controlling stake in China COSCO, which was formed in 2005.
