Overview

Chesapeake Utilities gasses up the Chesapeake Bay, and then some. Chesapeake's regulated natural gas distribution divisions serve 120,200 customers in the Northeast and Florida. Another unit distributes power to 31,000 power in Florida. On the unregulated side, the company also serves about 48,100 retail propane customers in Delaware, Florida, Maryland, and Virginia. Another subsidiary, Xeron, sells propane at wholesale to distributors, industrial users, and resellers throughout the US. In addition, Chesapeake has interstate gas pipeline and gas marketing operations. Through BravePoint, the company also offers data services, consulting, and software development.
