Chartered Semiconductor Company Description
Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing is among the world's largest silicon foundries, well behind industry titans Taiwan Semiconductor and United Microelectronics, and neck-and-neck with Semiconductor Manufacturing International. Chartered works from customers' designs to produce communications chips in its own wafer fabrication plants (fabs). Besides its own fabs, Chartered operates joint venture facilities with other firms.
