Cermaq Company Description
Here, fishie, fishie, fishie ... Cermaq knows it's easier to just sprinkle feed in the water and net the salmon when they swim up for dinner. The company's EWOS business is a global supplier of fish feed for farmed salmon and trout, while its Mainstream Group operates salmon and trout farms. Both businesses have operations in Canada, Chile, and Norway. EWOS additionally operates in the UK, while Mainstream Group also operates in Scotland. The Norwegian government originally held almost 80% of Cermaq, but sold a chunk for nearly $170 million through an initial public offering in 2005.
