Overview

Without cells and genes there would be no us, and without Celgene there would probably be fewer of us. The drug development company's lead product is Revlimid approved in the US and Europe as a treatment for multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer). Revlimid also is used to treat a malignant blood disease called MDS. The company's second biggest seller is also a treatment for MDS called Vidaza. Other marketed products include Thalomid, used in conjunction with dexamethasone to treat patients newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma, and breast cancer treatment Abraxane. The firm has other drugs in development that combat inflammatory diseases and cancer.
