Behind big brands Carlsberg and Tuborg and smaller regional and local brands, Carlsberg Breweries is Denmark's dominant brewer. It also makes and sells Coca-Cola in Denmark and is taking over the sales and distribution of mineral water producer Ramlösa in Denmark. In 2008 Carlsberg's parent company and Heineken acquired Irish brewer, Scottish & Newcastle (S&N), for $15.3 billion.
