Carlsberg A/S Company Description

If any company has thirst quenching down to a science, it's Carlsberg A/S, the owner of Carlsberg Breweries. In addition to the worldwide brewing operations of its flagship subsidiary, Carlsberg A/S also operates the Carlsberg Research Center, which houses 80 beer brewing laboratories. Although most of the company's revenue comes from the sale of Carlsberg beers, the group also sells the Tuborg brand. Tuborg is one of the best-selling beers in Norway. The group is controlled by the Carlsberg Foundation, established in 1876 by founder J.C. Jacobsen. In 2008 Carlsberg and Heineken acquired Irish brewer, Scottish & Newcastle (S&N), for $15.3 billion.
