Cargotec Corporation wins order for cranes in South Africa [Nordic Business Report]

Finnish cargo-handling solutions provider Cargotec Corporation said on Monday that its Kalmar business area has received an order for 32 E-One+ rubber-tyred gantry cranes from South Africa's Transnet Limited, the parent company of terminal operator Transnet Port Terminals. The new 1-over-5 high and 1+6 wide units are earmarked for the expansion of TPT's Cape Town Container Terminal operation.

Finnish cargo-handling solutions provider Cargotec Corporation reported on Thursday an operating profit of EUR107.3m for the first half of 2008, up from EUR104.3m a year ago. Sales for the first half grew by 13%, amounting to EUR1,627m.

Cargotec Corporation wins order in the Caribbean coast [Nordic Business Report]

Finnish cargo-handling solutions provider Cargotec Corporation said on Friday that its Kalmar business area has received an order for 30 terminal tractors, seven E-One+ rubber-tyred gantry cranes and five reachstackers from Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena. The equipment will operate at SPRC's new Contecar terminal in Cartagena, located on the Caribbean coast, the company added.
