Overview
Canadians call on Cara for a quick bite -- in the air or on the ground. Cara Operations is one of the largest airline catering and restaurant companies in Canada. Its Cara Airline Solutions division operates about 10 flight kitchens across the country that serve more than 50 air carriers and rail travel customers. Cara also operates more than 1,200 restaurant locations, including such chains as Harvey's, Milestone's Grill & Bar, Montana's Cookhouse, and Swiss Chalet. Started in 1883 as The Canadian Railway News Company, the company is controlled by the founding Phelan family.
