Overview
CapitalSource is a capital source of capital for small- and middle-market businesses. Its CapitalSource Bank subsidiary, formed in 2008, provides commercial and multifamily mortgages, operating loans, equipment leases, and other finance options to small and midsized companies throughout the US. It also has some 20 branches in central and southern California that offer deposit products such as savings and money market accounts, CDs, and IRAs to fund its lending activities. CapitalSource is active mainly in the US, but also has clients in Canada and Europe. Target industries include health care, security, and technology.
